I'd like to use Ambari to deploy a cluster using unpatched releases from Apache projects using only ASF infrastructure.
It seems like the obvious way to get the former would be to add a stack for BigTop. Does that sound reasonable? For the latter, BigTop makes their repo files a part of what they publish for a release. Could we do the same for Ambari proper? A stack that needed artifacts specific to a vendor could still point to repos specific to that vendor. -- Sean
