Created a directory in /tmp as hadooplib/
Copied the hadoop-openstak-2.6.0.jar to /tmp/hadooplib/

Updated the HADOOP_CLASSPATH to add the path /tmp/hadooplib/, however, it
didn't worked

You can observe that the path was updated with the new jar location as shown
below

# hadoop classpath
/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop/conf:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop/lib/*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop/.//*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop-hdfs/./:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop-hdfs/lib/*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop-hdfs/.//*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop-yarn/lib/*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop-yarn/.//*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop-mapreduce/lib/*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop-mapreduce/.//*::/usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java-5.1.17.jar:/usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java.jar:/usr/hdp/current/hadoop-mapreduce-client/*:/tmp/hadooplib/*:/usr/hdp/current/tez-client/*:/usr/hdp/current/tez-client/lib/*:/etc/tez/conf/:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/tez/*:/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/tez/lib/*:/etc/tez/conf

If I copy that jar to an existing hadoop lib directory
(/usr/hdp/2.2.0.0-2041/hadoop/lib/) which is created by HDP itself, it works

Please let me know why hortonworks is not able to grab that jar for execution.

Thanks,
Pratik

Subject: Updating Hadop Classpath

Hi All,

I want to include one of the hadoop-openstack.jar file in Ambari
HADOOP_CLASSPATH.

Please let me know how can I do that.
