You will also need to add following two properties:

“create_attributes_template” : “”,

“container_dn” : “”
It is ok to keep the values blank for these two.
EX:

        "properties_attributes" : { },
        "properties" : {
          "realm" : "TEST.COM",
          "kdc_type" : "mit-kdc",
          "kdc_host" : "10.120.8.109",
          "admin_server_host" : "10.120.8.109",
