Hi Jeff,

Ambari contains definition of the HDP stack for Windows based on HDP 2.1, 2.2,
and 2.3.
https://github.com/apache/ambari/tree/trunk/ambari-server/src/main/resources/stacks/HDPWIN

It is not actively maintained since the last meaningful commits to it were in
May 2015.

Thank you,
Alejandro Fernandez

Windows support (both build time / run time) is something that a group of folks
worked on in the past (as you can see in the JIRA you referred), but it is not
actively maintained.
Personally I don't know of anyone who is working on Windows at the moment, so
you might be on your own here. If others in the community are working on
Windows
with success, please chime in.

Yusaku

Subject: Question on Windows Installation for Server/Agent

I've been looking for any documentation or user posts on the possibility of
installing Ambari in some shape of form on Windows.
The only thing that showd up was this link:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-7504

Suggesting that there was feature request like that at some point in the past
and that feature got implemented.
Is this true? Is there any official/unofficial write up on that?

thanks

Jeff
