The agent code cache should update when the agents check-in to the server. Believe check-in occurs after the server is restarted and/or after an agent is restarted.
Is the python? code in the standard location ambari-server/resources/common-services/YOUR_SERVICE/VERSION/package/scripts/ Or what type of code update are you attempting.
