If you want to install something that isn't HDP you need to use a
management pack.(mpack) An mpack gives Ambari information on how to manage
software.

Bigtop has a management pack that will enable you to install Bigtop via
Ambari. I haven't used it but it's apparently working.

That will not fix your issue though as you know Ubuntu 18 isn't officially
supported.(and out of the box will throw errors.  I know I've supplied you
with some info to help remove those errors but this question doesn't
reflect those suggestions.)
