following snippet works here with ant 1.6.5 on Win2k, jdk 1.4.2_08
<delete includeemptydirs="yes">
<fileset dir="T:\test\Foobar" defaultexcludes="no">
<include name ="**/CVS/**"/>
</fileset>
</delete>
recursive deleting all CVS folders under /Foobar
works only with defaultexcludes="no"

Unfortunally the defaultexcludes are deprecated in
1.6.5. Ant manual suggests using <fileset> instead of
defaultexludes, and this is the first try I made:
