Hi Graham, Great, thanks. We are using maven. I also tried the maven assembly plugin, but that does not easily generate zip files that do not have a .zip suffix.

If you're using ant, then you can use the zip task (an ESA is essentially a zip). If you're using Eclipse, then the WebSphere Developer Tools (available on the Eclipse Marketplace) support ESAs using the "Liberty Feature Project" type. I'll see about doing a release of the esa-maven-plugin. Regards, Graham. However we have yet only created simple feature subsystems with it, so if there are issues with the more complex subsystem types we haven't found them. My question was also more into the direction whether the esa-maven-plugin is still your recommended way to build subsystem artifacts or if there is a better way I wasn't able to find anywhere. However if you could do some kind of release that would be great. Best regards Stephan From: Graham Charters [mailto:[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>] Sent: Donnerstag, 1. If people think it's ok, then there's not reason why we couldn't do a release. Are you using it? I did come a cross what I think is a problem with the eba-maven-plugin and the esa-maven-plugin may have inherited this, so I'd want to check first. Regards, Graham. The version is still on 0.0.1-SNAPSHOT. Is this on purpose (e.g. because it is only an internal tool and other people are supposed to build their ESAs somehow else)? Is there a release to be expected in near future? Best regards Stephan
