Hi,

Last time I looked aries subsystem was not very robust towards stopping the
jvm. I opened a Jira for the issue I found
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARIES-1109). The issue is still open,
however I haven't looked into newer releases.

Best regards
Stephan

Subject: Aries Subsystem Framework and JVM Restart

Hi,

I am experimenting with subsystems using David Bosschaert's excellent blog
articles and devmon
slides etc..

Using bndtools in Eclipse Mars, I can get the subsystems to install and run but
the subsystems and
dependencies disappear after framework and/or JVM restart.

OSGi R5 requires subsystems to be persistent across restarts.

Can anyone confirm that aries subsystems do persist across restarts when used
correctly?

Is there anything special needed (config) to ensure persistent behavior?

Regards

Paul Fraser
