Thanks for the help. I'm using an AWS AMI for RHEL and according to https://aws.amazon.com/partners/redhat/faqs/ subscription manager should work. However I am getting an error.
sudo -H subscription-manager repos --enable "rhel-*-optional-rpms" This system has no repositories available through subscriptions. yum repolist shows the epel/x86_64 extra packages. I opened a case with AWS to see if they would know why it doesn't work. It's available by default on CentOS. But it's not available by default on RHEL. You need to install epel-release manually on RHEL: sudo -H yum install https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__dl.fedoraproject.org_pub_epel_epel-2Drelease-2Dlatest-2D7.noarch.rpm&d=DwIGaQ&c=wgu6hzw1MOrcVMSMqu8IcS59mhBvl1Fc7tKn_Em0PVg&r=3R49A2fePqnR9-O_QNj0pdjjuyuNumS36ByvtmgmUzQ&m=F6pC_FFhe1QE7HCPv1r6Rh-DjZJd9gybWmGgsrr7WRQ&s=6Ct09BAhFXz9cKlLdgYTr_6cc67cJLmBDZax_P2C4Vs&e= sudo -H subscription-manager repos --enable "rhel-*-optional-rpms" --enable "rhel-*-extras-rpms" --enable "rhel-ha-for-rhel-*-server-rpms" See https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__fedoraproject.org_wiki_EPEL&d=DwIGaQ&c=wgu6hzw1MOrcVMSMqu8IcS59mhBvl1Fc7tKn_Em0PVg&r=3R49A2fePqnR9-O_QNj0pdjjuyuNumS36ByvtmgmUzQ&m=F6pC_FFhe1QE7HCPv1r6Rh-DjZJd9gybWmGgsrr7WRQ&s=pWPDLGFzNTDAv_yqb4QIEhfxXdxWGLHAGqB_R_cINwc&e= for details. For "7Server", we should provide https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__dl.bintray.com_apache_arrow_centos_7Server_&d=DwIGaQ&c=wgu6hzw1MOrcVMSMqu8IcS59mhBvl1Fc7tKn_Em0PVg&r=3R49A2fePqnR9-O_QNj0pdjjuyuNumS36ByvtmgmUzQ&m=F6pC_FFhe1QE7HCPv1r6Rh-DjZJd9gybWmGgsrr7WRQ&s=gcfzel7vHoegD4tPx8yA3YsFL74PAcU339Td8mOFPNA&e= as a symbolic link of https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__dl.bintray.com_apache_arrow_centos_7_&d=DwIGaQ&c=wgu6hzw1MOrcVMSMqu8IcS59mhBvl1Fc7tKn_Em0PVg&r=3R49A2fePqnR9-O_QNj0pdjjuyuNumS36ByvtmgmUzQ&m=F6pC_FFhe1QE7HCPv1r6Rh-DjZJd9gybWmGgsrr7WRQ&s=aCEHItjK2zmxYoWFug8sH3C2bMJeG67ogyOVQiXJ70I&e= .
