I came across a post made a while back that can be seen here: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/avro-user/201402.mbox/%3ccaleq1z9skctci0h8rtntyjabdm1hn8yuudtr2ft+czrvhto...@mail.gmail.com%3E
I'm wondering has there been any Jiras logged to address this issue? I haven't been able to find anything. It is not clear to me how to workaround this problem either without resorting to writing out an avro record to bytes and then reading it back in. This seems like a lot of unnecessary overhead. The situation I want to cover is reading Avro data as generic records that may contain enum types and then deep copy into into a specific record when applicable.
