Hi all,

My name is Andrew and I've been working on a Spark Streaming extension for
streaming Twitch.tv chat messages. The current extensions on Bahir were
used as a source of inspiration, and the format of my project aligns with
the requirements for new extensions; tests, Java and Scala support,
examples, etc.

You're probably asking, why Twitch? E-Sports is becoming more and more
prominent, and Twitch.tv is the primary medium where gamers live stream. To
my knowledge, no projects related to Spark Streaming and Twitch have been
made. The initial prototype of this project was created to analyze chat
statistics for my personal use.

While mulling over the "contributing-extensions" page (
http://bahir.apache.org/contributing-extensions/), I made my way here. I'm
not familiar with mailing lists, but this appears to be the correct place
to ask this question.

The repo is here: https://github.com/agapic/Twitch-Streamer. I would love
to have my project open sourced on Apache Bahir, that would be awesome! Any
comments and criticisms are *highly *valued, as I want to both improve as a
developer and ensure that this project is practical for users.

Regards,

Andrew
