The major transforms are also explained in more details in the (under development) Programming Guide: https://beam.apache.org/documentation/programming-guide/#transforms And if you don't find your favorite transformation, please speak up. Many things (counting, joining, etc) are really just composites of other, more-primitive transformations -- you can write them yourself using a composite PTransform and then potentially contribute them as part of Beam!
