I'm trying the Beam Quickstart on
http://beam.incubator.apache.org/get-started/quickstart/ and it can't find
the default DIrectRunner. If I try to specify a --runner then it says that
there are no runners available. What am I missing here?

~/beam/word-count-beam$ mvn compile exec:java
-Dexec.mainClass=org.apache.beam.examples.WordCount
 -Dexec.args="--inputFile=pom.xml --output=counts"
