I tried to use puppet do deploy 0.5.0 RC0 bits on a 3 nodes cluster. The puppet deploy hadoop correctly for me. I also run smoke test for hadoop, and crunch.
I also install other packages, like sqoop, oozie, giraph and so on. And tested service daemon.
