I am seeing similar behavior using the Brisk Debian packages for Maverick: http://www.datastax.com/docs/0.8/brisk/install_brisk_packages#installing-the-brisk-packaged-releases Not sure if it's my configuration, but I verified in on two seperate installs. -Ken
