A ByteBuffer is not a byte[] to convert a String to a ByteBuffer do something 
likepublic static ByteBuffer toByteBuffer(String value) 
    throws UnsupportedEncodingException
    {
        return ByteBuffer.wrap(value.getBytes("UTF-8"));
