Bruce Snyder and I were discussing this recently. Bruce brought it a few
weeks back and I mentioned that I had actually started to migrate to
templates a couple years ago and never got around to finishing that
migration. Bruce expressed an interested in revisting this and I believe
he is planning on tackling this feature, though I could be wrong. You
may want to discuss this with him further. I believe the goal is to
support multiple template engines through simple abstraction, with
Velocity being the default.
It will make the code much simpler to read, enhance and maintain.
