I just wanted to mention that I've released a new open-source project
that uses Castor JDO. The project can be found at http://
vars.sourceforge.net.
"The Video Annotation and Reference System (VARS) is a software
interface and database system that provides tools for describing,
cataloging, retrieving, and viewing the visual, descriptive, and
quantitative data associated with video."
This project was developed for analyzing video recorded by the
Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute's (http://www.mbari.org)
remotely operated vehicles (ROV's). We've been using it in production
for about a year now, but are releasing it as open-source so other
groups who work with video can make use of it.
