What kind of validation are you trying to control ? Parser validation ?
Castor validation ? Durring unmarshalling ?

you might want to take a look at the
LocalConfiguration.getProperties().setProperty(String, ...) to
instruct Castor XM whether to validate (or not) programmatically.
