I've been thinking about this. It might make sense to replace or
enhance this mechanism with one where you have these choices:
1) No warnings and just do it (overwrite)
2) Warnings and just do it (overwrite)
3) Warnings and user interactive dialog (Continue or fail?)
4) Warn and fail.
