We are about to implement the Castor XML unmarshalling/marshalling framework for our applications. We are not sure whether we want to go mapping or binding route. Has anyone done a performance comparison/evaluation of both approaches (using a mapping file by mapping the XML elements to the existing classes or using a binding file, whether Castor generates its own databinding classes). As we have a huge XML structure (with more than 100 complex elements or so), and also the volume of about 20,000 XML's needing to processed each day. Pls, share your inputs if you have been through such a performance comparisons with Castor XML binding vs mapping.
