Johan,
can you have a look at
http://castor.org/how-to-submit-an-xml-bug.html
for detailed instructions on how to go about this ? IN addition, if you
were to use Maven internally, have a look at a recent email on this list
(in one of the available archives) where I announced the availablity of
a Maven 2 archetype for submitting test cases.

Hi Ralf,
I can do that - as this involves creating a schema, then generate code
based on that schema and finally using that code, could you suggest a
"best approach" for creating a test case for this?
Cheers,
Johan

Hi Johan,
I think it will be best if you create a jira issue and attach all required to
reproduce the problem. It would be great if you could also attach a patch of
your proposed solution as this all would easy our life.
Thanks
Ralf
Hi All,
I think I have found an issue with marshalling of hexBinary/base64Binary
elements (or content thereof) - basically, content of elements are
always treated as base64Binary, not matter what the schema type is.
Digging into it a little, it looks like that in the code, Marshall.java
(line 1633 of the 1.1.2.1 release) uses 'descriptor' variable and I
wonder if this may be a typo and should instead be 'cdesc'? I debugged
it and using cdesc churns out the correct xml. Same goes for
UnmarshallHandler (line 816).
If this is actually the case, do you want me to create a new issue for it?
Thanks,
Johan
