Oops, my fault (call it selective blindness .. ;-)). Anyhow, I'd like to
look into this in more detail. As such, can I have a (JUnit) test case
or something along these lines.
Having said that, you are seeing these problems from within a web app
(only?) ? If so, how about a minimal web app attached to a Jira issue
with detailed instructions on how to deploy (web app container, version,
jdk ...).

personally, I have yet to switch using Java 6, but let's see whether
