Hi,

Even if you do NOT plan to use 1.2, you can still instantiate an
XMLClassDescriptorResolver instance once (and configure it according to
your needs), and pass it around to your (Un-)Marshaller instances using
setClassDescriptorResolver() methods on those classes.

The current page XML best practise page at http://castor.org shows how
to go about this.
