Martin, you've come across an area where Castor falls short of your requirements. I think there's already an issue out there that provides us with a sub-optimal patch, but as I have just said: not optimal. So far, I have not looked into this yet personally (but might change my mind soon ...).

Notice how the "<tag>" has moved.
