personally, I have not used 0.9.5.X for years now. So I can only offer
an educated guess: I don't see why there should be any problems with
Castor when running on Java 6.0.

But I am 100% sure that you will run into some problems when configuring
Castor XML so that the correct XML parser is used. From 1.4 to 5.0 (and
to some parts from 5.0 to 6.0), a lot of functionality has moved into
the JDK. Again, it might happen, it might not happen.

P.S. How come you are still using such an outdated version ? Or in other
words, what is it that prevents you from switching to e.g. 1.2 or 1.3 ?
