I am able to resolve the isue by using hidden-class in the geronimo
deployment plan
<sys:hidden-classes>
<sys:filter>org.exolab</sys:filter>
<sys:filter>org.castor</sys:filter>
</sys:hidden-classes>
The castor-1.1.jar is in the web-inf/lib folder.
