This means that Cayenne thinks that DataDomain name is null for sone reason. 
Your upgraded project XML file should be called something like 
cayenne-DefaultDomain.xml, and the "DefaultDomain" is the name part. So what is 
the name of your XML file and how do you start ServerRuntime?
