Hello, I just read the article on DeveloperWorks a couple of days ago and Click looked very intriguing. I tried going through the instructions in the article and I'm embarrassed to say that I can't get the WelcomePage working.
I've reviewed the steps and I believe I've done everything right but when I run the example I still only see "$message" on the page instead of the actual content of the message from the Java code. I'm running this on Eclipse 3.5 and using Tomcat 5.5.28. Here are the steps I went thru. Maybe someone can see what I missed or did wrong. 1) Created a Tomcat project named "ClickProject1" 2) Created a package named "com.dzp.click" 3) Downloaded the click-2.1.0.zip file, extracted it and imported files "click-2.1.0.jar" and "click-extras-2.1.0.jar" into the WEB-INF\lib folder of the project 4) Added the two jars to the java build path of the project 5) Created web.xml file as shown below 6) Created click.xml file as shown below 7) Created Welcome.html file as shown below 8) Created WelcomePage.java file as shown below Any help is appreciated and, again, I'm sorry that I'm even asking such a simple question. Thanks in advance. http://n2.nabble.com/file/n4572444/2010-0214_8.13.43_PM__0007.png http://n2.nabble.com/file/n4572444/2010-0214_8.13.30_PM__0006.png http://n2.nabble.com/file/n4572444/2010-0214_8.13.18_PM__0005.png http://n2.nabble.com/file/n4572444/2010-0214_8.13.07_PM__0004.png -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Click-article-on-IBM-DeveloperWorks-tp4479081p4572444.html Sent from the click-user mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
