I agree, quite unfair comment :( Commons, like the rest of the Apache communities, is a group of volunteers maintaining projects, that means no one of us is paid nor has a lot of time to during the day to dedicate to get component released. So everybody is welcomed on submitting patches, participating in the ML, getting involved, and release. Of course it takes time. The same time you spent on waiting instead of participating.
