Hi, I built the new 1.0 version of CouchDB from source on a Debian Linux (testing) VM.
It runs smoothly after some fine tuning, but the test suite seems to be
incompatible to my favourite browser "Opera" :-(
After running the "Run All" method stucks at attachments, I manually started
all the other tests with the following results:
Name Status
Elapsed Time Details
attachments stucks!
attachment_names error
17ms Run with debugger
Exception raised: {"message":"JSON.parse: Unable to parse value: "}
attachment_paths failure
196ms Run with debugger

65 of 66 test(s) run, 11 failures
I think it's not such a huge deal, because all tests run smoothly with firefox
(except "content_negotiation", which succeeds with Opera o-O), but it would be
really nice if tests were fully cross-browser compatible. Maybe using a
cross-browser compatible JS framework (e.g. "jQuery") as plattform would help?
So, for now I will just relax by using Firefox to access Futon ;-)
Greets,
Christian
