You may try to compact the view (and the db) after each insert, but this will dramatically increase the overall insert duration.
I don't know very much about couchdb, but when you update the view you will have to traverse all your precedently created view leaves. Tidying it up will make the whole process faster, but each "tidy up" will be longer and longer. -- Matthieu RAKOTOJAONA
