chracter higher than ascii 127 cannot be use in password when doing http basic authentication

Hi all,

We just noticed that when talking to couch through http basic auth, if 
the user use a character higher than acsii 127 like "$", couch won't 
accept the password.

We are using couchdb 1.3.1, does anyone know if this is fixed in later 
versions?
