This is a recently reported issue in couchup (perhaps by you)? Indeed,
the _security object doesn't replicate over via couchup. You'll need to
manually bring over the _security object at this time.

We'll hope to get this fixed for the next CouchDB release.

I upgraded a single node instance from 1.6.1 to 2.2.0 to make sure I
have the process down.  I noticed none of the admin accounts, accounts
defined in _users/ and permissions given to those users on database did
not transfer over.  Did I miss a step or a parameter during the couchup
process?  I would hate to have to reapply those permissions if I don't
have too.
