Using cTakes services in web application

Hi, I have been experimenting with  apache cTakes for some time now. I 
wanted to integrate it services to my web application (developed using 
sencha touch 2.3).
In this application the user will input a string in a textbox, which 
will be used for further processing. Is it possible to pass this string 
to cTakes from within the web app, let it process and return the results 
back to the web app?
