Is the plain text (input of cTAKES) being sent to a UTS/Apache server?

I am using the AggregatePlaintextUMLSProcessor.xml with the Clinical
Pipeline. I noticed that you can’t run the application offline (Caused by:
java.net.UnknownHostException: uts-ws.nlm.nih.gov). I was wondering what
data you are sending over to UTS. Are you just sending the UTS licensed
Username and Password? Or are you sending over the full plain text document
to the UTS or an Apache server as well?
