I think this could be an issue with the Windows batch file - the way it handles spaces & quotes within arguments. The reason I previously asked for the value of your JAVA_HOME was to see if there were any spaces or issue with quotes - and we clearly see a space (...."gra*m Fi*les...") in JAVA_HOME. And i think thats the "Files" part in "Files was unexpected at this time."
You could (1) file a JIRA, since users might have such an environment and Drill should handle it accordingly. And (2) as a work-around, can you move your Drill & Java install location to say "C:/" and update env variables accordingly? -Abhishek On Wed, Sep 2, 2015 at 3:22 AM, Paolo Spanevello <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > above the result of the JAVA_HOME variable from the cmd. > > C:\Program Files (x86)\apache-drill-1.1.0>echo %JAVA_HOME% > C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_79 > > Best, > Paolo > > 2015-09-01 17:52 GMT+02:00 Paolo Spanevello <[email protected]>: > > > I Did but the result is the same. > > > > Best, > > Paolo > > > > 2015-09-01 15:18 GMT+02:00 Abdel Hakim Deneche <[email protected]>: > > > >> I will try to install Drill on a Windows 7 virtual machine.
