I don't think the issue is how to install iODBC, it's knowing that there is another thing that you need to install. Yes. the docs do list iODBC 3.52.7 or later as a pre-requisite. But many people will probably bleep right over that, not realizing that it is not on their OSX system and needs to be installed (or that it's not the same thing as the Drill ODBC driver). I'd just clarify that the user is probably going to have to install it. Add it as one of the install steps to explicitly check that it's there, and if not, to install it.
