Thanks for the shout out, Apache Drill is something we've been trying to
integrate for quite a while now. Support for it has been there for a
while, but as you can see in the video we're trying to make it easy for
users to connect the dots and do easy analysis over the top of Drill.
I might even do a decent video next week that shows some proper analysis
and not the worlds worst query ;)
We're also working on the apache-drill snap package which is what you
can see in the demo, and makes it "easy" to install Apache Drill on a
bunch of Linux OS's with "sudo snap install apache-drill-spicule
--devmode --channelĀ beta" I'm happy to work with you guys to get that
build file into the main ASF repo if there is interest, so there can be
some "official" snap package builds, I've been working on similar with
Apache Tika also.
Lastly, if one of my guys sends over a PR, can we add Saiku to the Drill
BI tools section?
Thanks
Tom

As I have said and will say again, Drill adoption continues to make a
resurgence. And I am really happy to see consulting companies and open
source tools work with us.
Really nice to see this video from Spicule Consulting who are experts in BI
and analytics. Check their twitter here: https://twitter.com/spiculedata
The demo is "Zero Command Line Install Of A Scalable Apache Drill and Saiku
Analytics Enterprise": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TJv2IA4nHg
Saiku is a web-browser based BI solution with caching:

The Apache Drill integration for Saiku is new. And as the demo shows, the
syntax highlighting in Drill is even newer:) Check it out!
Thanks,
Saurabh
