Hi Mifos and Apache Fineract Users, As you've seen from the steady flow of emails going out about user requirements, we've got a lot of being driven by Google Summer of Code interns for this summer.
The case is the same for our Android Field Officer App which Rajan took to Version 3.0 last summer. We'll actually have two interns working on this summer who are both already deeply familiar with its architecture and have contributed as volunteers leading up to their internship. Tarun Mudgal and Mayank Jindal will be working on the app. Mentoring them will be Ishan and Puneet, Volunteer, Selman Kaldiroglu, will be helping draft wireframes and requirements. We would like to define the next set of requirements and use cases that should go into the app. A beginning of that list can be found at https://mifosforge.jira.com/wiki/display/RES/Google+Summer+of+Code+2017+Ideas#GoogleSummerofCode2017Ideas-AndroidFieldOperationsAppVersion4 A large part of that focus will be on implementing a mobile collection sheet UI - we know a number of community members have requested this for group/center meeting collections but also for collection of savings for rotating savings groups, etc. Please review the latest functionality in Version 3.0 ( http://mifos.org/blog/mifos-android-3/) and download the app on the Google Play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mifos.mifosxdroid&hl=en so you can share what features are missing, and how we can improve the usability of the current app. Any features you'd like to see, please add as new issues on the Github for the app: https://github.com/openMF/android-client/issues -- *Ed Cable* President/CEO, Mifos Initiative [email protected] | Skype: edcable | Mobile: +1.484.477.8649 *Collectively Creating a World of 3 Billion Maries | *http://mifos.org <http://facebook.com/mifos> <http://www.twitter.com/mifos>
