Hi Dharam-

Two things...

1. I am planning (possibly) 1 more release of *Spring Data Geode*
1.1.0.RELEASE (possibly a 1.1.1.RELEASE), which will be based on Apache
Geode 1.1.1.

Effectively, *Spring Data Geode* 1.0.0.INCUBATING-RELEASE (which is based
on Apache Geode 1.0.0-incubating) already works with Apache Geode 1.1.1.
However, having an actual release of SD Geode 1.1.[0|1].RELEASE would make
it "official".

2. Going forward, *Spring Data Geode* will no longer align on version
numbers with Apache Geode. This is happening for a couple reasons...

2.1. First and foremost, I am happy to announce that when Apache Geode
1.2.0 becomes available (very soon), *Spring Data Geode* "*2.0.0*" will be
based on Apache Geode "*1.2.0*" and become part of the "*Spring Data
Release Train*", currently *SD "Kay"*, of which *Spring Data GemFire* (for
Pivotal GemFire) has been apart of since SD GemFire 1.4.0 (also now at
2.0.0 as well).

The benefit of *Spring Data Geode* joining the SD Release Train is having
predictable and regular release cadence, where SD Geode is not only tied to
Apache Geode, but is part of the much larger *Spring* ecosystem of curated
and harmonized collection of dependencies proven to work across the entire
*Spring* portfolio... enter the *Spring IO Platform* [1].

More on Spring Data Release Trains are available here [2] (right nav), for
instance Kay [3].

2.2. Finally, Spring Data Geode will align with the rest of the Spring
ecosystem around certain key themes...

2.2.1. Java 8
2.2.2. Spring Framework 5
2.2.3. Reactive and Functional programming

If you have other questions on *Spring Data* (Geode) let me know.

Regards,
John
