Greetings Apache Geode Community-

It is my please to announce several /Spring/ releases related to the Apache Geode project.

* First up, /*Spring Data for Apache Geode*/ (SDG) 2.0.9.RELEASE (Kay-SR9) [1] and /*Spring Data for Apache Geode*/ 2.1.0.RC2 (Lovelace-RC2) [2] are available.

* Then, /*Spring Session for Apache Geode*/ (SSDG) 2.0.5.RELEASE and 2.1.0.M1 [3] was made available.

* And finally, /*Spring Boot for Apache Geode*/ 1.0.0.M2 [4] was released.

/*Spring Boot for Apache Geode*/ (SBDG) is a great way to develop applications powered by Apache Geode in a /Spring/ context and take the complexity out of building and running your applications easily and quickly.

Additionally, SBDG builds on the great foundation provided by /Spring Boot/ and SDG, which are themselves built on the solid foundation of the core /Spring Framework/.

In the latest release of SBDG, we add support for auto-configuration of /Spring Session/ when using Apache Geode to manage and store your /Spring Boot/ application's (HTTP) Session state.

There will be 1 more milestone release (1.0.0.M3) before we push towards final GA.  The plan in M3 is to start exploring and introducing monitoring support through /Spring Boot/ HealtIndicators [5] and eventually add support for /Spring Boot/ Actuator [6], which is itself built on /Micrometer/ [7].

Our very own *Udo Kohlmeyer* is doing some awesome work around retrofitting Apache Geode's Stats architecture to be based on /Micrometer/.

In fact, *Udo* will presenting (/Metrics for the Masses/) [8] on this down at /SpringOne Platform/ in D.C. in September.  Also, *Luke Shannon* and I will be presenting on SBDG in our session "/Scaling Spring Boot Applications in Real-Time/" [9].

/SpringOne Platform/ 2018 is loaded with a lot of great content [10] and speakers [11] this year, so don't miss your chance to learn from the best.

Also, if you have not seen it yet, be sure to checkout this video [12] by *Addison Huddy* on SDG.

Alright, that's all for now.  Many more great things to come; stay tuned.

Feedback most welcomed.

Regards,
