Can Geode work with hostnames instead of IPs?

Is there any guide on how to run Geode with hostnames?
Does Geode resolves the hostname to IPs and use IPs while connecting to
peers? This means that for SSL then the certificate needs SAN to contain IP
and not just hostname.
