I have the magicgball ear working now, but it required me to use the latest unstable release of Geronimo (geronimo-1.0-169186). I check this out from the HEAD source on the 17th of July 2005. Here is the entries file from the .svn directory to help with any problems in tracking down a version that works, as my version of svn has stopped working. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <wc-entries xmlns="svn:"> <entry committed-rev="179736" name="" committed-date="2005-06-03T07:20:04.005963Z" url="https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/geronimo/trunk/applications/magicGball" last-author="dain" kind="dir" uuid="13f79535-47bb-0310-9956-ffa450edef68" prop-time="2005-07-16T23:01:57.077252Z" revision="219353"/> <entry committed-rev="51767" name="LICENSE.txt" text-time="2005-07-16T23:01:57.087267Z" committed-date="2004-10-01T23:13:07.483101Z" checksum="b1e01b26bacfc2232046c90a330332b3" last-author="dain" kind="file" prop-time="2005-07-16T23:01:55.665222Z"/> <entry committed-rev="179736" name="project.properties" text-time="2005-07-16T23:01:57.107296Z" committed-date="2005-06-03T07:20:04.005963Z" checksum="3f021ebec0693a2790b0227057681de1" last-author="dain" kind="file" prop-time="2005-07-16T23:01:55.695265Z"/> <entry committed-rev="51767" name="NOTICE" text-time="2005-07-16T23:01:57.117310Z" committed-date="2004-10-01T23:13:07.483101Z" checksum="0615c23e8b795d40564eae21abf01bf2" last-author="dain" kind="file" prop-time="2005-07-16T23:01:55.705280Z"/> <entry committed-rev="156622" name="project.xml" text-time="2005-07-16T23:01:57.137339Z" committed-date="2005-03-09T05:59:45.683803Z" checksum="5960677ea2a25a2e21e1fc15276de695" last-author="dain" kind="file" prop-time="2005-07-16T23:01:55.715294Z"/> <entry committed-rev="53848" name="maven.xml" text-time="2005-07-16T23:01:57.147353Z" committed-date="2004-10-06T04:18:37.031077Z" checksum="3c2118061024de454788221af96b7fc2" last-author="dblevins" kind="file" prop-time="2005-07-16T23:01:55.785395Z"/> <entry name="src" kind="dir"/> </wc-entries>

I've never understood what the MagicGBall was, it never worked for me. I tried the "demo" a few weeks ago and it did work, but it does essentially nothing. Removing or fixing these and installing the samples Sing Li contributed would be a good idea.... the problem is time, at least for me. thanks david jencks On Jul 26, 2005, at 12:58 PM, Joe Bohn wrote: > What is the current status of the "applications" tree in the Geronimo > source? > I built MagicGBall but it fails to deploy because of a missing WSDL > document. > > I built the "demo" application (which doesn't look like it includes > anything much) and while it says it built successfully, it fails to > deploy because the war file cannot be read. > > Are these supposed to be our "samples" or is there someplace else I > should be looking? > > -- > Joe Bohn > [EMAIL PROTECTED] "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, > to gain what he cannot lose." -- Jim Elliot >
