Santosh,The problem is your JAVE_HOME or JRE_HOME environment variable. One or the other is pointing to a 'java' binary, but not the actual JRE/ JDK installation.
You can either update your JAVA_HOME/JRE_HOME setting. Or, download Geronimo 2.0.2 -- http://geronimo.apache.org/downloads.html
Geronimo 2.0.2 should have fixed this problem in the startup scripts... --kevan
