(in Java 1.6.0_03)...?? You may try using Java 1.5. There are certain additional steps to run G on Java 1.6. Can someone point to the thread in the mailing list?
Is the server you are trying to start a fresh extract from the zip? There seem to be too many modules (57) at startup.
