There is no equivalent yet. This plugin provides a couple of features:

I forgot to add. Of course you have already an equivalent alias
mechanism to maven:cli by simply creating a task with dependsOn
relations. We want to go beyond that and want to allow additional
configuration information for aliases.

Console: At one point we want to provide a Gradle console, where
Gradle and Groovy is preinitialized. May be a (swing based) console
can be part of the new UI runner developed by Automated Logic. This
UI runner will solve the startup time issue in any case. But right
now this is a GUI only approach.
