I agree it is good to have a "run" capability, but I note two things:
1. Maven doesn't have a "run" capability by default, you have to use
the Codehaus Mojo Exec plugin -- its an extra.
2. Unlike Maven, but like Ant and Gant, Gradle allows you to define new
tasks at will. I would have thought writing a run task would take about
5s.
