Hi Hans,

I have a question regarding the FAQ. Should this FAQ serve as a
"cookbook", so users can find useful snippets of code there ? I took a
look at some posts on gradle-user mailing list, and I wonder if such
things should by included in the FAQ:
 - what is the best way to produce exploded war ?
 - how to run things from Gradle ?
 - how to gather dependencies in a lib folder or something ?

Should they be in the FAQ or in the userguide or maybe in both ?

I would say that should not be in the FAQ. Although I suppose the boundaries are sometimes fuzzy. I think we should provide a separate document for that (which might be also included in the user's guide). I see the FAQ for people evaluating Gradle and wondering about what it can or can not do and why they should use it. It is less about how to use Gradle. But this is just my opinion and it is not based on deep experience with this kind of stuff. Another approach would be to have such sections in the FAQ, but them point to the cookbook document.

We have just added a FAQ section to the Gradle website (faq.gradle.org). This is just a beginning, dealing with Ant, Ivy and Maven issues. We use the
http://inquiryapp.com service for managing our FAQ. Contributions are
extremely welcome. We are happy to give access rights to anybody who wants
to contribute.
